Durant Enterprises, Inc. is owned and operated by Ray, JoAnne, Bill, and Anissa Prowant. The business has been family owned and operated for over 50 years.

It began with JoAnne's parents, Warren and Aura Myers who ran a General Store in Dupont, OH. In 1932 they went into the concession business with a popcorn machine as a way to make extra money. They soon added a custard machine and the business grew steadily.

JoAnne and Ray were married in 1948 and went to work for the family business. In 1966 they took over the concession business and purchased their first two rides. They have been adding rides ever since. In keeping with the family tradition, their Son Bill and his Wife Anissa are now running the family business. Ray and JoAnne are still actively involved in the day to day operations.

Ray And JoAnne Prowant were inducted into the Ohio Fair Managers Association Hall of Fame in January, 2006. The Award was presented in recognition of their outstanding dedication and willing service to the Ohio fair industry.

Durant Enterprises, Inc. now consists of over 25 portable amusement rides and over 20 food concessions. The season runs from April through October playing dates in Ohio and Michigan.

Our company provides midway rides for 7 County Fairs, 12 Corporate Picnics, and 15-20 Church and Community Festivals each year. We also provide Food Concessions at 13 County Fairs each year.
